About thisPriority

Canadians are recognizing that changing climates are threatening financial stability, biodiversity and community wellbeing. Our water, air, trees, energy sources, social structures, and food systems are under severe stress. Decisions on how to solve these problems – and the decision-makers themselves – require a firm grounding in top-calibre research that reaches past traditional boundaries between science, engineering, social science, humanities, and the arts.  At York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies, we are undertaking this critical research and educating decision-makers: the next generation of leaders in sustainability.  We invite you to open your mind about transformative environmental studies at York, and join us in our efforts to create a more equitable, more just, and more sustainable world.
